From September to October, hawks such as grey-faced buzzard and crested honey buzzard show up.

Until mid-November, you can also see small hawks such as the Japanese sparrowhawk and other kinds of birds like the brown-eyed bulbul. During this season, many bird lovers with binoculars in their hands and photographers visit the Cape Irago area. The best time for birdwatching is on a sunny day a few days after low-pressure weather is gone. Morning to noon is recommended.
