●”Majinai-uta (Charm poem)” by Isomaru Kasuya
Isomasru Kasuya’s “Majinai-uta” is a poetry monument placed on the sidewalk to the Cape Irago lighthouse. The monument was built to make people’s love wishes come true. You will find two lovers lean on each other sculpted on the rock and that is how you know it is the “Majinai-uta” monument. Many other Isomaru’s poetry monuments are built around there, but “Majinai-ura” is the one with a square stone. Also, there is a poetry monument for fertility, prosperity, etc. so people can make different kinds of wishes.
If you go visit Isomaru Kasuya’s hokora (small shrine) in the Irago Shrine or his grave in Isomaru enchi as well, you may get a better luck♪

●Koiji-ga-hama (Lover’s Sanctuary)
Koiji-ga-hama’s origin is said to be an old folklore of a noble couple. In the parking lot, the “Fortune lock” section has been made for visitors to make a wish. You will find couples make and write their wishes, “Stay with me forever” “Be happy” – it is such a heartwarming scene. Come to Koiji-ga-hama and make a wish to the lock.
①Make a wish to the lock and lock it. Make sure it is facing Koiji-ga-hama.
②Ring the Happiness Bell and make a wish to Koiji-ga-hama.
③Make a wish while bathing in the light of the morning sun. -
●Cape Irago Lighthouse (Lover’s Sanctuary)
Stand under the lighthouse and get as close as possible to the ocean. Then make a wish to the Kamishima Lighthouse (Lover’s Sanctuary). If you get to see the sun setting right by the Cape Irago Lighthouse, your love luck may increase. The sunset between winter and early spring is a must watch – the lighthouse dyed in orange is spectacular! Go up the stairs to see it.

Watch the sunrise through the hole of the rock gate on the shore. You can see it only in the certain season. Pick seashells on the beach next to the onshore rock gate. Seashells used to value like money in the past. Pick them and make a good luck charm out of them. You can pick the most from fall to spring.
You will find seashells such as purpuradusta gracilis, boivin's cowry, erosaria miliaris, and snakehead cowry.

●Coconuts Beach Irago in front of Irago Sea Park and Spa
“Sakuragai” (Nitidotellina nitidula) is often used as a charm of good love fortune. In Irago sea bathing area, you can pick them in early spring. Find non-cracked sakuragai and bring them home with care. Bivalves are a symbol of a married couple as they consist of two hinged parts. Noctilucine are hardly seen in the Irago sea bathing area. You can see swimming fish and the path of ships, and even the waves beautifully glow blue in the dark. It is extremely rare to see but you may get a chance in the humid night of beginning of rainy season.

Overlook the silver shiny ocean from the rooftop of Irago View Hotel on the full moon night. A magical night view of the illuminated chrysanthemum helps couples to grow love.
